Bias in the Classroom
Bias in the Classroom will get a special look starting today when the House Select Committee on Academic Freedom opens its first session today at 1:00 in the House Majority Caucus Room. The special committee was formed in July to investigate allegations of unfair grading of students whose views clash with their college professors.

Odds Are... on the House
Odds Are the linked issues of what to do with slots revenue and property tax relief will get plenty of attention during the upcoming fall session of the General Assembly. On Friday Governor Rendell was joined by House and Senate GOP leaders in calling for a special session of the legislature to enact the long-promised reductions. But, don't bet the house just yet the first two special sessions dedicated to property tax reform, in 1988 and 2002, ended without new laws.
