HELP SAVE PRO-LIFE FOREIGN FUNDING POLICIES.
CONTACT KEY CONGRESSMEN ASAP.
VOTE COMING THURSDAY, JUNE 21.

The U.S. House will consider the State/Foreign Appropriations bill tonight and tomorrow.
This bill contains two harmful provisions:
1.  The first is a provision to strike the President's Mexico City Policy.
2.  The second is a provision to strike the 33% abstinence education funding directive in a program called PEPFAR, a 5-year, $15 billion plan to address the AIDS pandemic.

Good News:  Both of the amendments mentioned below would save these pro-life programs.

Please urge these U.S. Representatives in Pennsylvania to:

1.  Vote YES on the Smith-Stupak Amendment, which will save the President's pro-life provision in the
State/Foreign Operations Appropriations bill known as the "Mexico City Policy." This policy keeps funding from going to foreign organizations that promote or provide abortions. The President has promised to veto the appropriations bill if it does not contain the Mexico City Policy.

2.  Vote YES on Rep. Joe Pitts'  Amendment to keep the abstinence directive in the PEPFAR (AIDS) program. The amendment would simply strike the language that currently removes the abstinence directive.

Here is a list of Pennsylvania Congressmen with key votes that are needed to pass save these pro-life programs.  If you can, please contact all or as many as you can with a simple E-mail (or phone calls) tomorrow morning as the vote is expected on Thursday!

Just use our Citizen Action Center.  Get others on your email lists to do the same!  And, thank you!
