He's an American military veteran who was marginalized by Temple University, failed by the legal system, and ignored by the Associated Press…. And now, for the first time, he'll tell his side of the story.
This Friday (July 13), in an exclusive interview on Penn State's campus radio station, The LION 90.7fm, Christian DeJohn will break his silence about his life-changing struggle against institutional bias at Temple University. DeJohn will sit down for a one-hour candid conversation with Andy Nagypal on Radio Free Penn State.
Radio Free Penn State, The LION's usually controversial and tremendously popular public affairs show, airs weekdays from 5-6pm. Host and PSU alum Andy Nagypal leads a panel of student commentators, and his past guests include a who's who of state and national conservatives, including Ann Coulter, Pat Toomey, and Mike Gallagher (during Michael Moore's infamous election-year visit to PSU in 2004).
DeJohn, a Temple graduate student who interrupted his studies in 2002 after being deployed to Bosnia, found that his conservative, pro-military views had turned certain university faculty against him. Upon DeJohn's return home, Temple's refusal to grant him a Master's degree led to a courtroom battle that would result in a ruling against the university's speech policies.
Now Christian will talk about the details of his case, which was virtually ignored by the mainstream media. What he has to say needs to be heard, by educators, parents, legislators, and anyone with a stake in the future of the Commonwealth and country.
