To: All Catholic group honoring Sen Jubelirer misrepresents the President Pro Temp as pro life. He is not!
This was posted on grassrootspa.com http://www.grassrootspa.com/. There is a viable primary challenge and this is clear effort of Sen Jubelirer to convey and image that he is pro life and a conservative...he is not pro life and he is not a fiscal conservative but if he can fool enough people he will beat back the challenge. Time to educate the electorate to the facts. I think it is imperative that Catholics set the record straight as the Catholic protesters want to do.

Controversy And Protest Surrounds Catholic Group's Award For "Very Pro-Abortion Politician" State Senator Robert Jubelirer
From a protest email regarding the Catholic lay organization's award:
PLEASE CONSIDER COMING TO HOLY NAME IN EBENSBURG on September 29 to join in a peaceful protest about the Award to be given to State Senator Robert Jubelirer
The St. Vincent De Paul Society has decided to give a top award to Pennsylvania State Senator Robert Jubelirer - a very pro-abortion politician. He voted against the Abortion Control Act thus allowing teens to secure abortions through all nine months of pregnancy and without parental consent or knowledge.
Several people have contacted Bishop Adamec, St. Vincent De Paul Society and others about the scandal that this causes, and have asked that the dinner be cancelled, or that the award be rescinded. Please consider contacting them also.
Pro-lifers are coming to Holy Name Parish in Ebensburg before the 5:00 Masson Thursday, September 29, 2005. The dinner to honor State Senator Jubelirer will immediately follow the Mass. We intend to stand peacefully in prayer outside, along the sidewalk across from 500 Julian Street, in Ebensburt, holding signs stating our disapproval of this action honoring this pro-abortion politician. We intend to stand quietly, not shouting, so as not to disturb the Holy Mass.
It is not my intent to spam anyone or to send unwanted e-mails. Please let me know if you want to be taken off my list. I know that sometimes the thoughts expressed can be irritating but I hope that the irritation, like a grain of sand in the oyster, can become something beautiful and valuable like the pearl an oyster creates from the irritation.
