Sen. Casey Introduces 'Prepare All Kids' Bill

Sen. Bob Casey has a new bill that concentrates on boosting the economy by focusing on younger citizens.
He stopped by the WTAE Channel 4 Action News studios to talk about the bill, which is titled "Prepare All Kids."
The bill encourages states to expand pre-kindergarten programs with the help of the federal government.
"I think it's not only good for that child to make sure reaches their full potential, but it's also good for all of us in the long run for our economy to have a higher-skilled workforce," Casey said.
The bill starts out with a $5 billion commitment and grows by $1 per year for five years.
States would match that money if they start a program.
