New Pork Scorecard

Here are three quick things before you start your weekend.

First, the Club issued its 2007 RePORK Card this week. Over the last couple of months, the U.S. House voted on 50 separate anti-pork amendments. We tallied them up and recorded all the votes. Jeff Flake, John Campbell, and Jeb Hensarling -- all Club favorites -- offered most of these amendments to illustrate why pork-barrel spending is such a corrupting practice. Check out the scores here to see how your representative did.

And speaking of John Campbell, when he offered one of his anti-pork amendments, he went toe-to-toe with Porker John Murtha. You can watch the debate here.

If you don't want to watch the entire debate (it's over 10 minutes long), then here's a video of Campbell on Fox's Hannity & Colmes program recounting the heated debate. We tip our hats to him.

Have a great weekend!

Best Regards,

Pat
