WHEN: Noon, Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

WHERE: Main Capitol Rotunda

Senator Mike Folmer (R-Lebanon) will announce the introduction in the Senate
of legislation pre-empting Pennsylvania's compliance with the highly
invasive, and costly, federal mandates imposed under the Real ID Act, passed
by Congress in 2005.

Specifically, unless legislation is passed by the General Assembly and
signed by the Governor, Pennsylvania would be required to establish a
national I.D. card for each of its citizens. In acquiring their national
I.D. card, Pennsylvanians would have to provide sensitive, personal
information to the government, without guarantee that this information will
be safeguarded from identity thieves or otherwise be used in an
irresponsible, inappropriate, or invasive manner by state and federal
government.

Your attendance is invited and encouraged.
